These look good(13.11.2009)
Well made and look good.
Good Screws(17.08.2010)
I bought these to try out some slim grips and they work and look great. I like the semi matte finish and metal used seems very stong. I am not disappointed.
Another great product(17.08.2010)
Works and functions just as it should. It looks like quality metal, the threads are nice, and there are no machining marks. I like the semi matte finish as well. I installed both the bushings and grip screw rather snug. They both showed no signs of weakness. As a bonus, it comes with a hex wrench too.
A Quality Product!(14.03.2011)
They fit well, look great and are comfortable (flush with the grip surface). I couldn't ask for anything better!
There's a reason why they are so cheap(22.07.2011)
Bought them because of the price. One of the bushing is out of spec and only three are usable.
Get them!(17.04.2013)
Just installed these on my new Springfield Loaded 1911 45 full size due to buying VZ Grips, Slim, in Alien Grey/Black. They not only fit perfect, but had no quality issues and all tools came with it for installing. Buy here instead of from VZ website and save a bunch. g-
Pot Metal?(24.07.2013)
Now I see why these are cheaper than other grip bushings; they must be made from really cheap materials. Tried to install with the proper bushing wrench and all 4 stripped before I could get them tightened down.
Garbage (11.05.2017)
The head of the bushing strips like butter when you try to unscrew them. If you use these and don't plan on unscrewing them, you are all set. Poor quality, I unscrewed them and threw them away.
just the ticket(30.11.2010)
Just what I needed to put a set of new agent stocks on my shiny new Colt Defender .. those black rubber ones that came on it are a mess for anyone with a smaller hand. The machining on these is excellent, material is perfect, and they stake well to the frame of the gun.. all you can ask for. These are NOT like the Korean ones sold with some slim grips that I have seen that need re threading before use, These are WELL MADE AND WELL MACHINED. Will order a set for my Gold Cup Trophy as well.
Could be better, but overall good.(28.07.2011)
One word came to mind as I was installing the bushings. Flimsy. It is real easy to strip the head, even when using a well-fitting, oversized, hollow ground gunsmithing screwdriver. The threaded bottom end, on the other hand, is perfect. It mated perfectly to the frame with no perceptible gap or play.
The grip screws (and the receiving female end in the bushings) are, again, a perfect fit. The only criticism here--and this is a "to each his own" preference--is that I'd prefer slotted screw heads instead of hex.
I used these screws/bushings to install a set of slim grips (duh), and there is no play anywhere; the grips are held firmly in place. If you want to see what they look like installed, find my review of the Navidrex Govt/Commander mahogany dbl-dmnd checkered slim grips here on Brownells. I have a couple photos in that one.
Great product!!(24.03.2012)
If you use patience and extreme care(on alloy framed guns) these fit perfect and are not flimsy. Use perfect fitting screwdrivers and take your time and you will like these. Nice!!
