Disappointed(10.11.2015)
The concept is great but execution is lacking. I mounted this base to a Ruger 7.62 semi-auto of known accuracy. I like the lockup and expect it to be reasonable about return to zero after I fix the problems with the rings. I did the first test and the scope, a Leupold 2.5-8 Mark 4 kept slipping forward when I shot the rifle. I torqued the screws as specified so rechecked. Then I tightened them more. The scope still slipped under recoil. At home I examined the rings and found the front ring is only contacting the scope tube at the rear of the ring. The rear ring when torqued does not grip the scope at all. I can turn the scope in the rear ring with the front ring removed. I'm going to lap the rings tomorrow and mill about .010 off the bottom flats of the rings and that should cure the problem. My issue is rings costing a premium price should offer good quality control.
Follow up on previous review(13.11.2015)
I'm writing a follow-up to my previous review. I lapped the rings as I described previously and then had to mill ,020 off the flats of the rings to get a good grip on the scope. I noticed the bottom half of the rings is a casting and not quite flat. It may be .010 or so out. After fixing the rings the scope no longer slipped. I tested removing and replacing the scope on the rifle between shoots to test return to zero. That appears to stay within 1/2 a minute which I consider good. I probably would not have noticed any problem if I mounted it on a .223 however the recoil of the 7.62 brought the issue to light. Midwest Industries hopefully is aware that there may be a problem and will fix it. Anyone can fix this issue with a file and stone if they don't have access to a mill.

Update Number 2(20.11.2015)
I wanted to follow up on the 2 previous reviews. I notified Midwest about the issue I had and they got back to me almost immediately. They are looking into the problem. I suspect they will have it resolved before this review makes the website. I'm impressed with their response and I have no reservations about recommending this mount. I think it's just one of those things that occasionally happens. I know Brownells would stand behind it if I decided to return the mount. I happen to like it and fixed the problem myself.
4+ - Problem is packaging(11.07.2016)
This mount is fantastic and precise! 4 screws on each arch makes sure the scope stays tight. The QD levers are easy to operate and secure the mount without marring the AR top rail.
I just mounted it tonight, but once I zero the scope and then remove and put it back on, it looks like it should hold zero well, but that is yet to be determined.
My only complaint is the packaging. Take a look at the pictures. Because the mount can shift around in the package, it actually scraped off plastic on the top and sides so that I originally thought the scope was damaged and used when I took it out of the package. I was able to wipe off all the white plastic, but the mount is still all scratched up. Now, this is a 3-gun mount for my 1-4x scope and it will take a beating, so it will end up scratched anyway, but when you pay $180 for a new mount, you want it to start clean.
