Elite competition trigger (27.10.2017)
There isn't much news about this trigger, or independent reviews, it has only been out for a couple months, but I needed a trigger for a new 9mm PCC build to be used in competition, and am glad I decided to try it out. Brownell's wonderful service and customer satisfaction guarantee make life a lot easier when trying out new products you are not completely sure will work out. I installed and tested this trigger in both the new billet QC10 lower/FM products upper 9mm PCC, and my primary 3 gun rifle, a 5.56 rifle based on a billet Mega lower and MML upper. It functions superbly in both and compares well with the top competition triggers on the market. This trigger seems to be aimed squarely at the Hiperfire 24C with a similar competition/target purpose, similar price and similar adjustable shoe design. I own both, and the new Timney is the better trigger.
I was worried the advertised pull might be too light, but the trigger has a great feel and feedback, with 0 creep it is relatively easy to control, and string shots on target arrays by working the reset and release points fast. I'm using a BAD ambi 45 degree selector, and it works perfectly, where that same fantastic selector won't work with Hiperfire and some other designs. The trigger shoe can be adjusted for a wide range of positions, with about 1/2" range of LOP adjustment, although it starts near the position of a standard AR trigger, so you have a lot more range to increase rather than decrease this measurement. The pictures don't do this system justice, it is well made, the shoes are machined aluminum, not plastic, and it looks like a work of art, the trigger feels solid, and the shoes are wide and comfortable. While there are interchangeable shoes and a large range of position adjustments, there are 0 engagement/overtravel/pull weight adjustments, doesn't even have screws glued over like other TImney models. The good, is that there are no internal adjustments to come loose, the pull weight and parameters are very light/crisp and short out of the box. The downside is that the trigger pull characteristics either work for you, or you will need a different trigger.

Best competition AR trigger (10.11.2017)
So far this is proving to be the fastest AR trigger available for serious competitive use. I have tried most of the popular options. Lighter pull than anything but a carefully adjusted AR gold. The trigger has more defined let off and reset than the gold. It also has more travel, meaning there is some roll and reset compared to that trigger. That may not appeal to you but for me a single stage with some (very little) travel will run faster than the almost zero travel gold trigger. I can get an original JP set to behave very much like this with careful adjustment but it will never be reliable at this pull weight and lacks the adjustability and shoes that put this in its own category. If you really can benefit from a 20oz. AR trigger and want great feel you loose on some of the others at low pull weights this is the answer.
